Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly will you respond?
I aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. Bug reports and security issues are prioritized and usually addressed within a few hours. If you have not received a response within 48 hours, please follow up — your message may have been caught by a spam filter.
How should I report a bug?
Please include: the tool name, the input that caused the issue (or a simplified version if the original contains sensitive data), the expected result, the actual result, and your browser and operating system versions. The more detail you provide, the faster I can reproduce and fix the issue. Screenshots or screen recordings are also very helpful for UI-related bugs.
Can I request a new tool?
Absolutely — tool requests are one of the main drivers of new features on DevFormatters. When requesting a tool, describe what it does, what problem it solves, and any similar tools you have used. I prioritize requests that benefit a broad range of developers and fit the existing tool ecosystem. You can also check the existing tools to see if something close already exists.
Do you accept contributions?
DevFormatters is currently a solo project, but I am open to collaboration. If you are a developer interested in contributing — whether it is a bug fix, a new tool, improving existing code, or helping with documentation — reach out and we can discuss how to work together. Contributions that maintain the privacy-first, zero-dependency philosophy are especially welcome.
Can I use DevFormatters tools in my commercial project?
Yes. All tools are free to use for any purpose — personal, commercial, educational, or internal team use. No attribution is required, no license fees, no registration. If DevFormatters saves your team time, sharing the site with a colleague is the best thanks.
Why is there no backend contact form on other pages?
Every tool processes data locally in your browser — no data is sent to any server. Because the entire site has no backend, there is no server-side contact form handler. This contact page uses a mailto: form, which opens your default email client with the details pre-filled. If you prefer a more interactive experience, you can reach out via email directly.
Do you sell or share my contact information?
No. Your email address and any information you share are used solely to respond to your inquiry. I do not sell, share, or subscribe you to any mailing list. See the Privacy Policy for details.
